A general expression is りんご.
"製法" is a word that simplifies "製造方法" or "製作方法".
Both are used well.

In fact, I am aware of the expression りんご. But thanks for advising me not to use 林檎, as it is ちょと。。。 LOL
By the way, the way you pronounce the faroese word for this species of "キュウリ"
is アシャ = asia

食材 is a word that simplifies 食品材料(syokuhin-zairyou)
The pumpkin that came from Cambodia is pronounced かぼちゃ(cabotya) in Japan.LOL
